At the 2025 Annual Presbytery Meeting in May, non-Native members of the Presbytery of Western New York joined their voices together to read aloud a formal apology, written by the Native American Reconciliation Group in collaboration with our Seneca sisters and brothers, to our Seneca churches and people. This statement was offered on behalf of the entire Presbytery as a step toward truth-telling, healing, and renewed relationship.

Our Mission Statement: We are Christ's body, called together for discipleship, hospitality, and wholeness.
We are the regional governing body of a diverse group of 45 Presbyterian congregations, stretching across Niagara, Erie, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties. Our churches span from vibrant urban congregations in the heart of the city of Buffalo, to lively suburban congregations in areas surrounding the city, to joyful rural congregations in the farmlands that stretch out beyond Buffalo to the north, east, and south. From stately urban avenues and parkways, to the shores of Lake Erie and the Niagara River, to fields of grain and vineyards, our Presbyterian churches and their members can be found, worshiping and praising the Lord together, and working to carry out the ministry of Jesus Christ in our world. We are a member presbytery of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the Synod of the Northeast.
