In their second year, branch meetings are a new way for churches in four regions of the Presbytery to connect. By interacting in these non-business meetings, laypeople and clergy can get to know one another better. Ultimately, we can nurture one another and our churches.
Southwest Branch Meeting
June 14, 2018 - 6:00 p.m.
Wayside Presbyterian Church
Dinner, Fellowship, Worship and a presentation on:
Electronic Media and the Church
How can we do a better job of sharing God’s message
Perry Babcock, who handles Orchard Park’s electronic media, will give a presentation on how churches can use technology to share God’s message and their own story. The discussion will include: websites, Facebook, and Youtube. We will also discuss ways to air one’s worship service. There will also be a time for questions, in fact that is the focus. In addition, there will be a time for churches to share their own experiences and therefore lessons learned (good or bad). The focus will be on adaptability because we are aware that each church is in a different place in their use of media and that our budgets differ. There should be something of value for every church, including a chance to help a branch partner on their own media journey. We hope to see you there.
Please try to RSVP to your pastor or to Cynthia Wickwire Lundquist (679-1501; text to 338-8953; email email@example.com) by June 11th so we know how much food to prepare. Thank you.
