The Senior High Fellowship car wash at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 4369 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A suggested donation of $5.00 is requested. Proceeds from the car wash will help offset the cost of vans

Maureen “Moe” Conley, the librarian at Wayside Presbyterian Church in Hamburg, is hosting a get together for anyone interested in church libraries on Wednesday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. So far, 5 local churches are gathering to share ideas about their church library ministries. All are new to church libraries and they welcome the opportunity to collaborate AND support others as they build strong and thriving church libraries. Clarence First Presbyterian Church is planning a baseball game bus trip to see the Yankees play Cleveland in Cleveland on Saturday, May 30.
Cost is $65 for the transportation and game ticket. All are welcome.

Thursday, May 7, 2009 is The National Day of Prayer. This year’s theme is “Prayer: America’s Hope.” Local groups will be gathering in front of Buffalo City Hall (Niagara Square) from noon to 1 pm for “Prayer in the Square.” There will also be a “Concert of Prayer Rally” on Friday, May 1 from 7-9 pm in the Student Union Auditorium at the University of Buffalo North Campus.
