World Water Day
World Water Day falls on a Sunday this year, March 22, 2009. In support of this important day of awareness, Living Waters for the World has developed a full set of World Water Day worship resources, including educational material for children, for use by PC(USA) churches. These resources, along with resources provided by Church World Service, National Council of Churches and the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, are available for download by following this link:

We invite you to share this email with your churches so that Presbyterians throughout the country may provide witness and worship, lifting up the more than one billion of our sisters and brothers who are condemned to drink contaminated water.
Important News: Through the International Health Ministries of the PC(USA)’s World Mission office, their 34th mission network has been formed. The Water Network is the PC(USA)’s newest and came from a very productive national mission Consultation on Water held this past fall. Representatives coming from congregations, middle governing bodies, country mission networks, and Presbyterian groups focused on water projects as well as General Assembly Council staff and PC(USA) mission workers, gathered and began organizing around the massive water crisis facing the world. Thank you for your assistance – and may the day come when clean water will flow for all of God’s children!
