Flu Shots
The VNA (Visiting Nurse Association) has run out of flu vaccines.  The clinics at Deerhurst and  Faith are cancelled for October 25.  They have both been rescheduled for November 22. Since there is a shortage of vaccines people should call their church or other location to be sure they have the vaccines.

Wellness Fair at Union, Blasdell
UNYTS, Upstate New York Transplant Services in co-operation with Union Presbyterian Church of Blasdell and Big Tree Fire Company will be hosting a wellness/safety fair on November 14th
from 12-6pm at the Big Tree Fire Hall. November 15th is Donor Sabbath a day set aside by UNYTS to recognize the donors and their families, recipients, and all those health care workers
who facilitate organ transplantation in every manner possible.

A very eclectic group of health and wellness venders will be on hand to give out information as well as the State Police, Fire and Rescue, and three churches who will host a fund raiser for their church. There will also be a blood drive hosted by UNYTS. Several things will be available for the children. Approximately 30 tables in all and 4tables for the church fund raisers. Demonstrations will be done by fire and police.

Since being a volunteer for UNYTS and my church, UPC I saw the need for this wellness/safety fair in my community and have received great support from everyone. I am praying for great success, and hoping we can make this an annual event.
