Presbytery of Western New York E-Newsletter October 6, 2009 Thank You North Park Presbyterian Church for 93 Years of Ministry North Park Presbyterian Church held its final worship service on September 20, 2009. More than 160 people gathered to reminisce and to celebrate the ministry that was accomplished there. Rev. Ronald Miller grew up in the church and preached for the final service. Also taking part were Commissioned Lay Pastor Barbara C. Wallace, Bonnie S. Dahl, Rev. Frank Wright, Commissioned Lay Pastor Patricia K. Townsend, Ned Pitz whose father, Rev. Edward J. Pitz, served the church from 1956-89, Janet Lincoln Piersma and Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch. A luncheon for those in attendance was held afterward. Rev. Barbara C. Wallace moderated the final congregational meeting

Irish Music at East Aurora The Irish music experience, Kindredduo will appear at First Presbyterian Church of East Aurora on Sunday, October 18th at 2 PM in the Assembly Room. Felice and David Meyer are multi-talented playing several instruments, singing and also sharing their own songs in the folk traditions of Ireland, American and other Celtic lands. From preschool to nursing homes, these performers delight their audiences with their musical gifts and good humor. The program is designed for all ages and will be free. Free will donations will be accepted. The First Presbyterian Church of East Aurora is on Main Street (20A) at Paine Street. There will be a reception immediately following. For more information, call the church at 652-0160. Halloween Festival at First Buffalo First Pres in Buffalo (One Symphony Circle) is hosting a halloween festival on Saturday October 24th from 4-7pm. There will be a spaghetti dinner, crafts, games, candy, and lots and lots of fun!! Kids can come dressed in costume. The cost is $5 a person and money will go to the youth group as they raise money for the Triennium. Contact Erica Wichtowski at the church for more information.
