Film Discussion Series Continues with Showing of “I’ve Loved You So Long
An exquisite story of reconciliation and redemption, along with a thrilling mystery describe this month’s film offering, I’ve Loved You So Long, starring Kristin Scott Thomas at the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 4369 S. Buffalo Street on Friday, April 30, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. Part of a free, monthly film discussion series, I’ve Loved You So Long tells the tale of Juliette, the haunted heroine who’s reunited with her little sister after a 15-year separation.  Turns out that Juliette hasn’t been away on a trip.  The shameful reason why—and another, even more deeply buried secret, unspool with deliberate mystery in French writer-director Philippe Claudel’s tale, which has something of a thriller’s structure but is really all about relationships,” said Washington Post critic Michael O’Sullivan.
Open to the public, “Films to Talk About” offers a unique experience of watching a movie and then discussing it with others, exploring interpretation and meaning through the medium of film.  For more information, call the church office at 662.9348. No reservations are required to attend. Rated PG-13 for mature themes and smoking. (In French with English subtitles.)
