Outreach Ministry Team Offers Grants The Peacemaking group of the Outreach Mission Team is offering four grants of $250. each to anyone from the Presbytery of WNY who is planning to attend the Big Tent conference in Atlanta, GA, June 11-13. The sponsoring congregation should match the $250, in support of their representative to the conference. Anyone seeking a grant for the Big Tent conference should contact the Presbytery office for a one-page form to be completed by April 30. Synod representatives request that you make this newsletter available to your congregation. Recycling Bottles and Glasses! Joanne Martin from First United Church in Silver Creek reported on two projects to help Third World Countries. An abundance of medicine bottles go to land fills or are disposed of on a regular basis. By removing the prescription labels, you can create an empty container that can be used by others for storing personal items. In addition, old prescription glasses can be shared with Third World Countries. Please contact Martin at Jet104@aol.com for further information. Interfaith Forum on Domestic Violence At 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, the Interfaith Peace Network of WNY will bring together some prominent members of the Muslim community to offer reflections on their faith and culture. This program is part of a new initiative of IPN to enhance peace in our region through improved understanding in faith communities of Islam and of Muslims. In response to the shock of the deadly violence in Orchard Park, the forum’s panel will also share perspectives on the recent incident and on domestic violence throughout the world. The audience is warmly encouraged to voice questions, concerns, and hopes during the 90-minute forum. Refreshments and informal conversation will follow. Orchard Park Presbyterian Church 4369 S.
