Branch Meetings

In their second year, branch meetings are a new way for churches in four regions of the Presbytery to connect. By interacting in these non-business meetings, laypeople and clergy can get to know one another better. Ultimately, we can nurture one another and our churches.

COMING EVENTS for the Southwest Branch:
October 29th at 7:00 p.m.
Service of Celebration for the 500th anniversary of the Reformation
Using liturgy from John Calvin himself!
(with a little help from Revs. Thomas Burian and Rami Al Maqdasi)
Held at First United Presbyterian Church in Dunkirk
19 West Fourth Street, Dunkirk
November 9 at 6:00 p.m.
Next regular Southwest Branch meeting
Held at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church
4369 S Buffalo Street, Orchard Park
The meeting will follow our usual format with a twist. We will have dinner and worship as usual, but our program is an opportunity to join in a study time together using the Disciple curriculum. The focus will be on having a chance to study scripture together, but with the added benefit of introducing some of us to this curriculum which some of our member churches have found very helpful. Please note: if your church has already used this curriculum, please join us so you can share your perspective on it and offer suggestions on its use. But, even if you are not interested in introducing the curriculum at your church, please join us for the small group discussion time which will be of value whether or not you are interested in the Disciple Program. We will also deal discuss mission efforts and stewardship of our mission funds.
Please Join us for these coming events.
